Film trailer analysis

In the beginning of the Harry Potter trailer the production company of the Harry Potter films emerges on the screen, this is so the audience know that Warner Bros is responsible for the production of the Harry Potter films and so that the audience might go and watch more of Warner Bros productions.
Throughout the opening of the trailer the pace of the switching of camera shots is slow as the trailer wants to give the audience an idea that alot of the Harry Potter movie will be evolved around the rivalry between Harry and Voldemort. The slow pace of the trailer at the beggining also gets the audience into the trailer, as the slow camera shots will make the audience aware that the film will have a dark, dull, death theme to it as the camera shots at the beggining consist of dark backgrounds and conflict between Harry and Voldemort.
The music plays quite a crucial part in the trailer as the pace between each camera shot depends on the pace of the music used for the trailer. So at the beggining the pace of the camera shots were slow as there was barely any music, instead of going straight into it the trailer gave the audience the opening of the trailer to gain an understand of what the film will mostly be about. When the music properly comes into the trailer and when its at a fast pace the camera shots change really quickly and it starts to insert more and more shots and starts building to a climax, this is the bit when the audience will start to get goosebumps and the bit that will persuade the audience to watch the movie the most.
The same font is used for the Harry Potter title towards the end of the trailer. This is a really symbolic title as the same font has been used throughout all the Harry Potter films and is almost like a logo as it never changes, it always has that same look to it to portray that the Harry Potter films are out of the ordinary.
In alot of films, if there is alot of different characters, it means most of the time they all have there different little storylines. But with Harry Potter the characters might not always be together, but they are all working towards the same, and thats to put a stop to the conflict that is happening between Voldemorts army and Harry and the Hogwarts students and teachers.
